Map & Location Finding the Bolivar Lighthouse really couldn't be easier. Interstate 45 is a straight shot from Houston to Galveston. The freeway will become Broadway which is the main street through Glaveston. Continue to the last light (past this is the gulf, you will know it is the last light). Go left at the light, turning onto Seawall Boulevard, and then 2 more lights down take another left onto Ferry Road. Ferry Road goes, oddly enough, right to the ferry. You will be able to see the lighthouse while you are still on the ferry even before the ride is over. If you go on a weekend during the summer, keep in mind that traffic can be quite bad and the line for the ferry can get quite long. You can get the Bolivar Ferry Schedule by calling (409) 763-2386. You can find a map highlighting some of the great places on Galveston by visiting the Galveston History site. This site has a really nice interactive map of the area. Be patient if you have a slower connection, it is worth a few extra seconds wait.
